Two unpredictable teams clashed but were infuriated by the weather. It was a start and stop affair where both the teams were left guessing. Initially, the series was a 5 match affair which would have assured a winner in the series but COVID related complications curtailed it to 4 and now the weather has assured us that this series is well poised for a winner. West Indies's T20 gameplay has always been pretty fast moving and when the game was curtailed to 9 overs, it was all about going brisk. West Indies batters came out all guns blazing but were kept in check by the disciplined Pakistan bowlers. Barbados pitch was favouring the bowlers but Guyana is expected to assist everyone, which will provide opportunity to some big names of West Indies batting lineup to gain some form. Pakistan after being hammered by England have shown great discipline against West Indies and were up to the task. They have brought in explosive opener Sharjeel in the squad and the performance of Hasan Ali gave their bowling unit a much needed belief. Their team has further been boosted by the veteran Hafeez who will be bowling his off-spin against a side which has a good number of left-handed batsman. Going in the game, Pakistan will be wary of West Indies's batting prowess on a fresh Guyana pitch.
Team News
Pakistan: They have been forced to make a change after Azam Khan sustained a head injury and hard hitting Sohaib Maqsood can replace him. Though, the latter had a forgettable England tour but Pakistan would want to give him another go.
West Indies: They have been compelled too to make a change after Simmons got hit by a bouncer and Andre Fletcher seems to be an ideal replacement for him.
Pitch and Weather Report: Showers are predicted throughout the week, This will be the first game on a fresh pitch that may offer plenty of runs and a headache for the bowlers.
