Prerak Mankad, an exciting all rounder from Saurashtra is a player to watch out for if given chances as he has been picked up for a price of Rs. 20 lakhs and would be raring to prove his worth.
KL Rahul is the highest run getter of the franchise with 616 runs at a S/R of 135.38 and an average of 51.33 with his opening companion Quinton de Kock following in the charts with 508 runs at an impressive S/R of 148.97 and average of 36.29. Avesh Khan, the lead pacer for the franchise is leading the charts for LSG with 18 wickets at an economy of 8.73 followed by exciting young spinner Ravi Bishnoi with 13 wickets at an economy of 8.44.
Delhi Capitals: “Roar Macha” The Delhi based franchise after re-naming themselves from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals have been trying their level best to match to their slogan. The Capitals traded Aman Khan from Kolkata franchise for Shardul Thakur. The only thing which is lingering the franchise is keeping their hands on the coveted trophy since the start of the IPL in 2008. After Ricky Ponting took over the duties of coaching for the Capitals, they have been giving a tough fight for the opponents and are not budging themselves at any instance. This year, they have made some smart and interesting buys. They snatched English wicket keeper Phil Salt at his base price of Rs. 2 crore which is a steal buy for the franchise given the form Salt is in. They also made a stunning purchase in Mukesh Kumar from Bengal for Rs. 5.5 crores who got his maiden call up to the Indian in the last South Africa series for India. They also strengthened their middle order by picking Manish Pandey and Rilee Rossouw. They kept their faith on the old horse Ishant Sharma who was picked again for Rs. 50 lakhs.
The squad were blown with the missing of their heart beat and regular skipper Rishabh Pant after he suffered a horrific injury and has now been replaced by Abhishek Porel. David Warner will be donning the captain’s role in the absence of Rishabh Pant.
