In the match against Gujarat Titans, only Ruturaj Gaikwad fired well with a splendid 92 runs off 50 balls with 4 fours and 9 sixes. Their captain MS Dhoni need to come up the order (at No.5 or 6) and score quickfire runs. In the 1st match, Dhoni batted well for his 14* off 7 balls, but only came at No.8. If he comes up the order, then he might get more balls to face and score more runs in death overs.
On the other hand, Tushar Deshpande, the pacer was taken to cleaners by Gujarat Titans batsmen, registering an economy rate of 15.30 and taking 1-51. Gujarat scored 37 runs in last 21 balls to win the match, with 15 runs leaked off by Deepak Chahar in 19th over. So, death bowling needs to be improved.

His knock comprised of 2 fours and 7 towering sixes, most of them on the leg-side. CSK bowlers need to feed him to the off-side as much as possible to curb his run-scoring.
Nicholas Pooran scored good in the death overs, scoring 36 runs off 21 balls on his LSG debut against Delhi Capitals. He scored 2 fours and 3 sixes to revitalize LSG’s innings, which looked stalled at 117/4 after 14 overs at one point.
LSG’s Mark Wood was sensational on his LSG debut, picking up 5/14 as well as registering best bowling figures by an England bowler in IPL and bagging man of the match. CSK will have to be wary of Wood threat, even if the match is being played on spin-friendly surface.
