It's been over a week since the 15th edition of IPL got kicked off. So far, there have been some amazing and entertaining games. This one promises to be something similar. It's the battle of Kings on Super Sunday.CSK have had their worst start ever in an IPL season, as they've lost their first two games of a season for the very first time in the history of the league. PBKS on the other hand, have won and lost a game each.
Team News:
CSK:
The southern kings had a batting collapse in their first encounter against KKR. They brought in Moeen Ali for the second game and that changed a lot of things for them. But in the second game, their bowling looked out of sorts.
There weren't enough wicket takers in the powerplay overs. It wouldn't be wrong to say that they're missing the spearhead of their attack, Deepak Chahar. With Adam Milne and Chris Jordan getting injured, the things have gone only worser for them.
They might've to bring in Maheesh Theekshana, who can pick wickets upfront and also contain the runs in the middle overs. The game against Punjab Kings would be crucial for them.
PBKS:
Unlike CSK, their unit is much more balanced and settled. Of course, they faced a tough loss against KKR. But they were in the contest for most part of the game. So there are nothing much to worry for them.
Their batting lineup has firepower. They just need someone who can anchor their innings so that the others could bat around them. There's none better than Shikhar Dhawan in the lineup to do the job. That would help their case.
The arrival of Kagiso Rabada has made their bowling unit much more balanced. They've variety of options in their lineup. In spite of their best batter not available for the first few matches, they've done well so far as a team.

So far, two games have happened in the season in this stadium. Both the games were won by the side batting second. The most recent one being LSG chasing down 211 against CSK. The pitch is very good to bat on, but also has assistance for the pacers early on and for the spinners in the middle overs.
