A top of the table clash as Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars go head to head in Match Number 20 of the PSL. They kicked off the second edition of PSL where Qalandars were victorious by 5 wickets and defeated United for the first time since 2019.
Both teams will be high on confidence as United thrashed Quetta by 10 wickets with 10 overs to spare whereas their opponents are in threatening form. A win will kick Qalandars to second on the table while United will go top of the table with a win.
From a team perspective, Qalandars never say die attitude is pretty appreciable. Tim David in two matches has been seriously impressive the way he sets up his innings and then accelerates. Not to forget their bowling line up, Rashid Khan continues to deliver in the middle overs and can drag his side back in the game from nowhere. There's also Shaheen Shah Afridi partnered with James Faulkner whose dream PSL start has seen him pick up 6 wickets in two matches.
Islamabad has Colin Munro and Usman Khawaja who put on a brilliant show making chase of 134 looks way too easy when they triumphed Quetta. They compliment each other well at the top. Mohammad Wasim Jr has impressed once again and will be key for his side.
There's an update which conveys that Hasan Ali will be returning to Pakistan due to his family commitments and thus he will miss the remainder of the season. Both their key players Faheem and Hasan are missing hence it will be a challenge for United to fill their voids.
