SUNRISERS HYDERABAD:
The Sunrisers are on a mission to breach the 300-run mark in the IPL. They have tried it thrice and came closer to the target when they faced the same opposition last time. After 3 consecutive disastrous seasons, things are finally coming together for them this season. They have been simply batting their opposition out of the game as early as the powerplay. The 125-0 they scored in their last game against Delhi Capitals is a world record. Both Travis Head & Abhishek Sharma are in the form of their life and will be followed by Markram & Klaasen. Despite scoring 250+ in three games, they won only 1 game in a convincing manner. They have issues in their bowling department which has not been exposed yet. Cummins & Natarajan has been their standout bowlers so far. Washington Sundar finally got a game last time but had a severe beating in the PP but still SRH might back him.
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BENGALURU:
RCB literally have nothing to lose. They are coming into this game after 6 consecutive losses and with slim chances to reach the playoffs. Their only positive in the recent games would be Rajat Patidar coming back into form & Karn Sharma showing some asurity (unlikely with the bat). The defeat against KKR is their closest of them all and they would take a lot of positives. Similar to SRH, their bowling has been the biggest weakness. They have tried every bowler they have and none of them are able to stop the runs. Their spearhead Siraj is having his one of the worst seasons. A loss here would completely shut the doors for RCB. Going forward, RCB might look to figure out the players that they would like to retain ahead of the next year’s Mega Auction.
SRH vs RCB – Head-to-head:
Both Hyderabad & Bangalore have met 24 times in the IPL. Hyderabad has won 13 games with Bangalore winning 10.
