The striking difference between the two teams is that one has changed its base and the other has taken a new leaf out of life and formed a new team. The striking similarity between these two sides is that both started in rain marred matches. While one was “lucky” to have got a point thanks to the rain gods, the other was waitin to prove its worth and dock the win points to itself.
IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans started really poor in their tournament opener albeit a bamboozling spell from veteran Rajagopal Satish of CSG franchise, The franchise had already lost its star batter S Aniruddha to RTW this edition and their retained star player Dinesh Karthik is busy commentating in England. The team is led by experienced AR M Mohammed with many new entrants and upcoming players in the franchise. Aswin Crist and M Mohammed only were the lone survivors battling for respect in the last match by contributing some with the bat and the rain gods came to the franchise’s rescue. With a good bowling battery up their sleeves, IDTT will be raring to go and prove a point for themselves.

On the other hand, Salem Spartans were dished and dashed by the energetic Sai Sudarshan who made his debut and parked all the balls bowled by the Salem bowlers to the stands until G Periyasamy came and did the rescue act pocketing the wickets of Shahrukh Khan and Sai Sudarshan in consecutive balls. Daryl Ferraio,the new captain and debutant had no clue visible to his eyes for Sudarshan’s boisterous innings in the last match. Vija Shankar, another experienced seamer in the franchise was taken to tatters before he pocketed one wicket at the end of his 4 over spell.
With the match happening at night and the past two days seeing differing results, both the franchises would be looking to go beyond limits and pocket the points to their kitty.
