England thrashed India in the decider and claimed the series win.
A stiff target of 154 was made to look easy by the classy knock of Danielle Wyatt. With assistance from Natalie Sciver, Wyatt saw off the tricky chase pretty comfortably at the end.
BRUNT WINS THE BATTLE
India won the toss at Chelmsford and opted to bat first. Captain Kaur's decision wasn't justified well by the Indian batters as they were down to 13/2 in no time. Katherine Brunt won yet another battle against Shafali Verma and set the tone early on while Sophie Ecclestone got rid of Harleen Deol.

SMRITI & KAUR TO THE RESCUE
After an early hiccup, the captain Kaur joined Smriti and was involved in a crucial 68-run partnership. Her counter-attacking 36 gave the momentum to the Indian innings.
As the captain perished, Smriti took the attack on the English bowlers. She brought up her 13th T20I fifty and guided India to a respectable total. Richa Ghosh provided finishing touches as India managed to post a total of 153 in their 50 overs.

EARLY IN-ROADS FOR INDIA
Defending a challenging total, India dismissed Tammy Beaumont early on for 11. In fact, they had control of the game during the early 6 overs of powerplay but things were about to change for them.
BON VOYAGE FOR ENGLAND
Natalie Sciver joined Danielle Wyatt and anchored the chase. Wyatt played her shots and kept the required run rate in check. She hit some gorgeous boundaries and brought up her fifty.
Once she was set, the explosion started and the game was taken away from India in no time. While Sciver got dismissed for 42, it was just a consolation reward for Indians as England chased the total with 8 balls to spare.

TWO ANTITHETICAL TALES
England won by 8 wickets and claimed a 2-1 series win. With the series win against India, England have now won three consecutive bilateral T20I series in a row. They last lost a T20I series against Australia back in July 2019.
On the other hand, India have lost their second T20I series in a row. They've got a lot to improve upon to progress further as a side.
