Overview:
IPL has begun and there are teams who are yet to find their right combination. This will be the case when Chennai Super Kings face off against Lucknow Super Giants.
Both the teams are coming into this game on back of a loss in their opener. To everyone's surprise, KLR's Lucknow who were considered as hot favourites were given a reality check by the Titans whereas CSK without Chahar and Moeen Ali were no match to a different looking KKR.
Lucknow Super Giants:
When KL Rahul scores at the top, half of the work is almost done which he couldn't do against the Titans as he and De Kock got a perfect seed from Shami. If Lucknow are to win tomorrow, they need Rahul and De Kock to fire at the top. LSG have the most destructive opening pair in this edition of the IPL. They are still not at their full strength which they will be once Holder and Stoinis return but as of now they will have to do without them. Ravi Bishnoi didn't have a good outing in the first game but he would be hoping to get things right as he was one of the player who was retained before the auctions. Chameera impressed a lot in his first game but KLR didn't utilize him well which raised a lot of eyebrows.
Lucknow are expected to go in with the same side.
Chennai Super Kings:
Apart from Dhoni, none of the retained players performed like the defending champions. The Dad's army as they have been called will have a lot to prove in their game against the first timers.
Moeen Ali is expected to play tomorrow which will bolster their top order and will give them an additional spinner too. CSK now have a fully fit squad barring Deepak Chahar who is almost ruled out of the competition. Ruturaj Gaikwad will be looking to return back to his best after a forgetful outing against KKR. CSK are expected to go in with the same side as well except for a swap for Mooen Ali with Mitchell Santner.
It remains to be seen who gets their maiden victory in Tata IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium.
