Multan Sultans is at the fourth position and a victory will take them very close to the qualification while for Lahore Qalandars a victory would be sufficient to ensure playoff qualification.
Multan are in dire need of a victory as currently, they have their fate in their own hands but a defeat will make them dependent on others apart from their own. Multan’s skipper Mohammad Rizwan has been in tremendous form with 429 runs at a strike of 136.62. He averages 61.29 and is the second highest run getter in the tournament and would be looking to occupy the pole position tonight. Sohaib Maqsood has also performed well with 232 runs at an average of 38.67 with the strike rate being 154.67. Shahnawaz Dhani has been their best bowler with 14 wickets at an average of 17.64 and is second on the wicket takers list.
A win will make Lahore the second team to qualify for the playoffs while a defeat will put their fate completely in the hands of others as this is their last league stage game.
