The clash between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) & Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is something to be checked out for some wholesome cricketing entertainment.
VENUE & TIME: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, UAE. (19:30 IST)
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD: One of the unrealistic things of the year would be SRH's 2021 performance. A team known for having a consistent track record of 5 consecutive playoffs performance will most likely not be making it to the playoffs this year. Indeed, a horrendous performance & management has led to such a downfall. Adding salt to the wound, speculations are roaming around that the team is parting their ways with their huge asset, David Warner. Though it's not official, the team has been facing backlash for it.
Though they are in the last position of the points table & have almost all their roads closed towards the playoffs, they want to end their remaining quarter with a bang. They still have a mathematical chance of qualification though. When we talk about their last match performance, it was just phenomenal, when they won against the Rajasthan Royals due to some wholesome performance with the bat & ball by the team. Especially the bowling unit has been a special element of the team who have managed to restrict the opponents to a low total. With the likes of Jason Roy, Kane Williamson & Jason Holder, we can expect some impeccable team performances from their end.
CHENNAI SUPER KINGS: If an address would have been given for comeback, then it should be given to CSK. After facing a horrific time during the 2020 edition, the team is having a smooth & jolly ride by being the leaders of the points table, thanks to their stupendous performances.
Even during the UAE leg, they have won all of their three matches & they are hoping to continue their streak of wins in the UAE leg. When we talk about their last match performance, it was wholesome. Though they were on the verge to lose that match, it was Ravindra Jadeja with the bat who just pulled out a stunner at the ending stages.
With the likes of a strong captaincy by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, we can expect some good team performances. They also possess a good bowling unit which comprises of some hard-hitting allrounders, who can bowl some good seam & spin.
Pitch Report & Toss: The small ground of Sharjah in UAE is known as a bowling track. Though we see a good flow of runs from big-hitters, thanks to its small size, it is a spin-friendly pitch. So, we can expect some top-notch performances by the spinners. Hence, one can expect to bowl first for the side winning the toss.
Probable XI:
SRH: Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul.
