Islamabad United has comfortably qualified for the playoffs and will hope to end the league stage on a high. Islamabad have nothing to lose even if they get defeated but they would surely look to carry momentum with them while going into the playoffs. Multan Sultans have a very great chance to qualify for the playoffs if they win or even lose by a small margin in their final league game owing to their superior net run rate. Islamabad have lost just two out of their nine games and are firmly placed at the summit of the points table while Multan are just below them on the second place.
Multan would require their skipper Mohammad Rizwan to go big in this game. He has been their top run getter with 444 runs at a strike rate of 132.93 and an average of 55.50. Shahnawaz Dhani has been the highest wicket taker in the tournament with 18 scalps at an average of 14.
Islamabad have been on a dream run in this leg of the tournament. Their openers Colin Munro and Usman Khawaja have been extraordinary and the team would like them to continue their outstanding run at the top of the order.The likes of Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali have been brilliant too.
