Pakistan will be looking to bounce back in the series after a humiliating performance in the 1st ODI.
Date & Venue: The game will be played at 11AM Local Time (3:30PM IST) on the 10th of July at the iconic Lord's Cricket Stadium situated in London, England.
Preview: In the course of all these years, the one thing that every Cricket fanatic must have heard of is to 'never rely on Pakistani batsmen as they are the most unpredictable in nature' and Pakistani batsmen proved that right on Thursday when they got shot out for a paltry 141 against a second-string English side. On the flip side, the Pakistani batsmen would be itching to take the field for the 2nd ODI to show the world the other side of their so called 'unpredictability' as they have been labelled so due to the fact that on their day they can easily topple off even the best of bowling attacks with ease apart from the tendency to collapse in the simplest of situations.
The Lord's Cricket Stadium is expected to be a fullhouse for this game as this game is a part of the test event which is a part of government's event research programme that aims to test the impact of COVID on a fullhouse stadium having vaccinated audience. It will be the first time since the pandemic arrived that a major sporting event would be held in the UK with 100% crowd capacity which would surely add to the signifance of this game.
Pakistan have the ability to come back all guns blazing provided the Pakistani batsmen are able to apply themselves on a batting friendly track with the series on the line as in the 1st ODI barring Fakhar Zaman and Shadab Khan none of them could find their groove on a surface which didn't have any sort of demons in it.
English masses are currently submerged in the fever of Euro Cup where their national side has reached the final of a major tournament final for the first time since 1966 which is scheduled to be played on Sunday. The tagline that the English fans are using for the Euro Cup is 'it's coming home' and though we don't know whether the English Football side would be able to bring it home or not but we are quite sure that the English Cricket side would want to bring this series home on Saturday itself before their national Football side take field for the final of the Euro Cup on Sunday. Every member from this raw new-look English side is looking to make his case in the squad for an extended run with Saqib Mahmood continuously impressing everyone in the limited opportunities he has got so far and even this English side would be a force to reckon with for Pakistan if the English lads keep going the way they have done so far.
Pitch Report: The pitch is expected to be batting friendly and unless rain interferes and tampers the condition of the pitch, we will be witnessing a good amount of runs being scored. The possibility of rain to play spoilsport is pretty likely for this fixture though.
