Toss:
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first.
Playing XI:
Pakistan:- Babar Azam(C), Mohammad Rizwan, Sohaib Maqsood, Mohammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain
England:- Jos Buttler(C), Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood, Matt Parkinson
England's Innings:
Pakistan started well as England lost their openers in the very first over of the game, after which Dawid Malan who is currently number in the T20I batsman ranking went hard on Imad Wasim's bowling.
But that wasn't enough for Pakistan to restrict England from scoring a big total, as their captain Jos Buttler started scoring runs everywhere and brought up his fifty in 33 balls. After a good partnership with Moeen Ali of 67 runs, Buttler got out on 59. No one was able to bat well after Buttler's wicket apart from Livingstone who scored 38 and Moeen Ali who made 36.
England got bowled out for 200 runs.
Pakistan's Innings:
Once again the Pakistan openers, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam gave a good start to their team as they made a half century stand for the first wicket. Babar Azam made 22, Rizwan made 37, Sohaib made 15, Hafeez made 10 and Fakhar made 8 and with no major contribution from their batsman they were reduced to 95-5. No one showes the gut required to chase such a big total as they ended their inning on 155-9 and lost their first match of this series by 45 runs.
Player Of The Match:
Moeen Ali, the English allrounder once again did the trick for his team and was adjudged as the Player of the Match for his quickfire 36 runs in 16 balls alongside the 2 wickets with the ball (3-32-2).
