South Africa will hope to add to their Test series win and leave with both the pieces of silverware. But will they be able to bring an end to their series win drought in this format?
The T20I series has been more closely contested compared to the one-sided Test matches although it has ebbed and flowed. One thing that both sides have not lacked is their fighting spirit and its no surprise that the series is now levelled at 2-2 heading into the fifth and final match of the tour.
After the way West Indies chased down 161 inside 15 overs in the first game, I'm sure many expected a totally different outcome in this contest but the 160s has proved to be enough as no team has managed to score higher (or lower for that matter). Only once has the target been chased. The team batting first has defended their mere 160+ target in the last three matches.
The visitors has shown faith in their XI by making only one change in the four games and that's brining in Aiden Markram for Heinrich Klaasen but furthermore they've stuck with core but could be forced to make a bowling change if Anrich Nortje won't be available after pulling up while bowling his final over in the fourth match on Thursday.
West Indies for all their power have struggled immensely in the middle overs against the spinners. The lack of strike rotation and dot balls force them to be over aggressive and in turn end up losing their wickets without adding much to the scorecard. They can take some positives and that is how well Obed McCoy and Dwayne Bravo are utilizing their slower deliveries on a pitch that is very well suited for it.
