Overview:
It's been nearly a month since the 16th edition of IPL started. We've seen some exceptional cricket being played already. This one promises to be nothing different. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Delhi Capitals in the 40th match of the season. These two sides had faced each other just 5 days ago in Hyderabad. In a low scoring thriller, DC beat SRH by just 7 runs. In Delhi, SRH would be looking to reverse the results.
Both DC and SRH have won 2 games and lost 5 games each in the 7 matches they've played so far. Sunrisers Hyderabad would be looking for a replacement for Washington Sundar. They would want their batters to step up big time. Delhi Capitals with the home crowd behind them and back to back wins, can also perform well and continue the winning momentum. That promises to be an exciting game of Cricket for the fans.
Preview:
Delhi Capitals: In the last couple of games, they've found some ray of hope. Prithvi Shaw's bad form has gone nowhere. It has added pressure on Warner. They've tried a lot of batters, but the middle order still looks vulnerable. The likes of Mitchell Marsh, Manish Pandey, Sarfaraz Khan, Rovman Powell, and Lalit Yadav haven't performed to their best abilities. They rely heavily on Axar Patel to finish things for them. They would definitely want the middle order to step up for them, before it gets a bit too late for them.
Their bowling attack looks good though. Anrich Nortje is looking good, especially in the death overs. Addition of Ishant Sharma has surely brought a new look to the attack. Kuldeep Yadav has been picking wickets. Axar Patel has done the holding up job well. Lately, he's picking wickets too. Mukesh Kumar has done a good job as the death bowler. Especially in his previous outing against SRH, he won this match nearly by himself. Bowling clearly looks like their strength.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Before the start of the season, their batting was one of the best on paper. But till now, almost all have underperformed. Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Harry Brook, Abdul Samad have all underperformed with the bat. Only Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen seem to have done their job. They've shuffled their batting lineup too much. Now they need a replacement for Washington Sundar too.
Their bowling is a hit or a miss. While Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been fabulous lately, both in powerplay and death overs, he isn't getting enough support from the other end. Mayank Markande is doing a fantastic job in the middle overs. But unfortunately, T Natarajan and Umran Malik haven't been up to the mark. Marco Jansen isn't that consistent in performances. He needs to improve. Would be interesting to see who they would get to replace Washington Sundar.

Pitch/Weather Report:
The match will be played in Arun Jaitley stadium, Delhi. It's been a good surface till now. It has been supportive for all. There's of course the early swing on offer. Interestingly, there has been some extra bounce for the pacers. Spinners can get some purchase from the surface. Skilled batters can counter the bowlers and score runs.
It's a very small ground. The square boundaries are very short and so are the longer boundaries. The venue hasn't seen a high scoring game in the ongoing season till now. One can expect another medium scoring game. The teams winning the toss would love to bowl first and put the pressure on the opposition.
