So finally the tournament is coming to an end and this is the second last match of this season between MUMBAI INDIANS who has to win this match by a huge margin vs SUNRISERS HYDERABAD who is ready to spoil their party.
MUMBAI INDIANS:- So Kolkata knight riders hammered the Rajasthan Royals by 84 runs. Now Mumbai Indians should have to do some miracle from here to qualify for the playoffs. After destroying RAJASTHAN's batting line-up, It can be said that MI's weakness can never be their bowling but batting is. Their middle order is not performing as they did last year throughout the tournament and Ishan Kishan's 50 in last match was a boost for INDIA’s perspective, not MI's though as its too late for them. Surya and Ishan were the biggest differentials for MI from last year but haven't done much this year. MI need to win the game by 171 runs or more and score more than 200 to go past KKR's net run rate of +0.587. They, however, will be eliminated if they chase. because MI are the most successful franchise in history, the other three teams wouldn't ideally want to see the men in blue again in the final stages of the tournament with two of them chasing their maiden title.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD:- From most consistent team to the most vulnerae team. SRH failed in every department in this tournament. SRH did everything to make a balanced side but failed every time because of their poor performance by senior players. A player like David Warner who was the backbone of this team is now warming the bench. Manish Pandey is too responsible for this disastrous run of SRH. Kane Williamson is a sole performer but not good enough. He is handling his team on his shoulder for the last 4-5 matches.
Not that it would matter much for a side that has already had the campaign to forget but SRH would still love to finish with a win. Last year SRH managed to beat MI to join them in the playoffs and if they manage a similar result this time, they will drag the champions alongside them out of the competition. In the last match, they beat RCB and ended their dream of top 2 position's. If SRH indeed plans on ending their association with fan-favourite David Warner, it will be interesting to see if they give him a farewell match. The battle between Rashid vs Pollard is love to watch.
