Overview
Australia will be touring Bangladesh for a 5-game T20 series starting tomorrow. When Australia toured Bangladesh the last time, Bangladesh registered their first ever Test win against them.
Australia is coming into this series on back of a 1-4 series loss to the Windies where probably the only positive for Australia in that series was the all-round performance of Mitchell Marsh. With the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in Asia, this series is going to be an important one for the Aussies. Bangladesh, on the other hand, recently won the T20 series against Zimbabwe by 2-1. If they somehow manage a series win over the Aussies , it will act as a massive confidence booster for them ahead of the T20 World Cup.
Squads
Bangladesh: Bangladesh will be without the likes of Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim for this series. It would be interesting to watch Bangladesh's performance in the absence of these senior players.

Australia: Australia too will be without their regular captain Aaron Finch. Senior players like David Warner and Steve Smith are not available as well. Matthew Wade has been announced as the captain for this series.

Form
Mitchell Marsh was in great form in the recently concluded T20 series against the West Indies. He amassed 219 runs in 5 innings @43.80 with a strike rate of 152.08. He also took 8 wickets in 5 matches with an average of 11 and economy of 6.77. Josh Hazlewood was decent with the ball but other than that, the performances of the other players were bleak. However, the likes of Carey, Wade, Starc, Zampa fared better in the ODI series conducted in the latter half of that tour.
For the hosts, Soumya Sarkar was the Player of the Series in the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Mohammad Naim was among the runs too but the find of the series was Shamim Hossain, who scored 29(13) and 31(15)* in the last 2 matches. Shoriful Islam snapped 6 wickets at 12.83 a piece.
