Gujarat Titans take on the Mumbai Indians on 26th May 2023, at the Narendra Modi stadium, to decide which team will face the Chennai Super Kings in the finals.
Both teams have had magnificent tournaments so far. On one hand Gujarat have continued their dominant run which started last year, whereas on the other hand, Mumbai have had a resurgence this season, being 2 wins away from the tournament, in contrast to their 10th place finish last season.
Gujarat Titans
The defending champions have done justice to their tag this season, leading the points table at the end of the league stage. They were all set to reach the finals through qualifier 1 however a Jadeja special coupled with lack of boundaries in the middle overs meant they would be playing the qualifier 2.
Gujarat would be happy that they would be playing at ahmedabad. In a season where most teams have struggled at home, Gujarat have won 5 out of their 7 matches at the Narendra Modi stadium. Their pacers such as Shami, Joseph, Little etc. would love the hard, bouncy pitches complimented by huge side boundaries.

Mumbai Indians
The most decorated team, Mumbai have historically been the team to beat in the playoffs. They last lost a playoff match way back in 2017!
Mumbai's batting has fired exceptionally well, however the main differentiator has been their bowling, specifically the new indian sensation. 13 wickets @ 12.85 is simply sensational for a debutant.

Pitch report
A flat pitch is expected to be laid out, similar to the trend faced in the Narendra Modi stadium this season.
Chasing teams have usually come on top over here. Along with the dew factor, toss plays a crucial role, especially for Mumbai.
