Overview: There is lot to play for both the teams in their final league game. KKR are still mathematically alive and LSG eying a win with a decent margin. A loss here would be curtains for both the teams. Like last year, both are playing their last league game against each other, and both were at the same stage in the points table.
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS: The Knight Riders are coming off from a confidence boosting win against CSK in their own den. Everything went their way except their top order. They will be going in with a nothing to lose mindset and can even play spoilsport for LSG. KKR will have the support of CSK, MI, RCB & PBKS fans. As far as their team combinations, they might not make any changes considering their win in the last game. Their fast bowling was one of their major issues in the start, but now even though they are inexperienced, they are not leaking runs.
LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS: The Super Giants have got their campaign back on track after the back-to-back wins against SRH & MI. The win against MI was the most satisfying one as they batted well in a tough surface and bowled well at the death. Lucknow have faltered in some important games in their short history. So, they will be hoping that won’t repeat. They have faced KKR two times so far and won both. Leaving out Avesh Khan for Yash Thakur was a good move in their last game, but will they do it again at the Eden Gardens where the seamers have found difficult to contains runs? Deepak Hooda has been a big disappointment for them but considering his experience he might continue to play till the end.
