Toss has been on Australia's side this series but for the first time in the course of 4 games the Aussie players proved their captain's decision right.
Oshane Thomas got rid of Matthew Wade cheaply in Australia's 2nd over and it looked like the Aussies will end up with a low score again but their new number 3 different plans. Mitchell Marsh smashed oshane thomas for 25 runs in 4th over of innings and changed the momentum in favour of Australia, Marsh and Finch started smashing bowlers since then and stitched a 124 run partnership in just 58 balls where the former registered his highest ever score in T20Is as he scored a 44 ball 75, this was his 3rd half century in the 4 games of this series. Mitchell Marsh before this series had no fifties to his name and his scores in this series are 51, 54, 9, 75. Even Finch, who was not in the best of form got some crucial runs to his name which are really good signs for Australia heading to the World Cup, Once Finch got out, Australia collapsed again but thanks to the small little cameo from Dan Christian which took Australia to 189. Australia were 124/1 after 11 but ended up adding just 65 more in last 9 overs. Hayden Walsh was the pick of the bowlers from West Indies as he took 3 wickets. He's been the standout bowler of this series as he has 11 wickets in 4 games to his name in this series with 3 three wicket hauls and a 2 wicket haul.
West Indies, in return started of quite well as both the openers gave them a flying start. They were 96/2 after 10 and were in driver's seat but what followed was an Australian comeback as Mitch Marsh and Adam Zampa shared 5 wickets between them. West Indies kept losing wickets in the middle overs and were left with 57 to win from just 24 deliveries. Some good destructive batting from F Allen and Dre Russ took the scenario to 11 from the last 6 balls Mitchell Starc had the ball and Andre Russell was the batsman on strike. It was supposed to be heart wrenching finish but some poor cricket from Andre Russell costed West Indies a win as he never looked for singles or doubles but just tried to go for boundaries and eventually ended up losing a game for his side.
It's time for the final game and the West Indies will look to take the trophy by a margin of 4-1 while on the other hand, Australia will be playing for their lost pride as they are hungry and have been dented and might come hard against Windies yet again.
