Delhi Capitals: DC are currently at number 7 on points table; they have just 4 wins in 9 games with other 5 resulting in loss. Their bowling is the main reason behind them losing these many games. They have had one of the best bowling line ups in previous few seasons but it will be fair to say that without Avesh , Ashwin and Rabada, the bowling line up is struggling. Kuldeep is giving wickets at regular intervals and to some extent Khaleel is providing few breakthroughs, but that is not helping DC at any way.
Let's look at numbers of other bowlers
1) Axar Patel:
Matches 9
Wickets 4
Avg 58.25
2) S Thakur:
Matches 9
Wickets 7
Avg 42.29
3) Mustafizur Rahman:
Matches 8
Wickets 8
Avg 30.50
Anrich Nortje who was Delhi's best bowler last year was retained over K Rabada this year but he played just one game. DC lost faith in their premium pacer just after one bad game.
There’s not much to talk about Delhi's batting line up; the openers have given good starts at time and middle order have handed game well but sometimes they have failed to perform as a same unit and that's what have haunted Delhi this season.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: SRH are currently at number 4 on points table; they have 5 wins in 9 games. Their journey is quite interesting; started with 2 loss followed by 5 consecutive wins and then again followed by 2 consecutive loss. The good thing is that 5 consecutive games have kept them in top 4 even after losing their last 2 games.
The reason behind SRH's last 2 loss is their bowling , their bowling line up have conceded almost 200 runs in both these games. They were performing so well as a unit but lack of good bowling have seen SRH losing games .
In batting each of them have contributed; openers are giving good starts, then Markram, Tripathi and Pooran take the innings forward and then finish of it well. This batting line up will be happy to face DC's bowlers as comparatively to others; it’s not that competitive.
