Chepauk Super Gillies: Kaushik Gandhi (C), N Jagdeesan (WK), S Sujay, U Sasidev, R Satish, S Harish Kumar, Sonu Yadav, M Siddharth, Dev Rahul, B Arun, R Alexander.
The Nellai Royal Kings would be hungry for a win and register a win and have points accounted for them in the points table. On the other hand, Chepauk would be looking to come from the disappointing match they had in the opening game where rain played spoilsport and wasted the efforts put by the old warhorse Rajagopal Satish. Satish impressed and bamboozled the opposition with his medium pace and reduced half the side with his bowling.
The Nellai Royal Kings had their game in control until Amit Sathvik and Anthony Dhas hell broke all loose in the batting and the RTW medium pacers and spinners spun a web around them and choked. The 74 run defeat would need to be put back by Nellai and have their concentration in the current game and re-shape themselves in the tournament.
Baba brothers, Aparajith and Indrajith, playing for the first time together in TNPL, would need to step up and ensure their batting is as strong as their skills. Indrajith showed some respite and kept the runs flowing and also contributed equally with the gloves behind the stumps. Pradosh Ranjan Paul, Mohan Abhinav, Suryaprakash need to step up and contribute in the top order so that a total can be put up to defend.Athisayaraj showed some control in his initial spell but fell apart in his second spell and leaked runs. Medium pacers Sri Neranjan, Sharun Kumar too would need to step up to the occasion and contribute with the ball by controlling the runs flow and picking wickets at intervals. The medium pace and spin duo of Ajith Kumar and Sanjay Yadav did justice and should continue where they left.

In the Chepauk side, they did not get a chance to prove their worth in the batting but their star bowling can any day ball out the opposition and make their route clear for a win. Experienced campaigner Rajagopal Satish would nip his medium pace balls to the batters and fox them with cutters, off length balls and slow balls and catapult the opposition. The spin duo of R Alexander and M Siddharth would be eager to spin a web just like the last game and prove their worth to the franchise. The batting is equally starry with the dynamic Jagadeesan opening with the captain Kaushik Gandhi. R Staish, Sujay and Saidev would don the hat and capitalise on the starts provided by the openers.
On the whole, it's going to be the battle between the strong batting line up vs the upcoming bowling lineup.
