England will be eyeing a clean sweep as they head to Edgbaston to take on Pakistan in the third and final ODI on Tuesday.
With how rushed this team came together, a whitewash would be a monumental effort for Ben Stokes and his inexperienced squad. This might be a 'dead rubber' but Pakistan will hope to get a consolation victory. The series has been pretty one-sided thus far.
England despite playing with a second string side have outplayed a full strength Pakistan team in almost all departments to be 2-nil up in the series. It emphasizes the depth in English cricket. It's been a complete team effort from the home side with notably Saqib Mahmood in particular has had a phenomenal series.
Pakistan have a formidable team and over enough talent in their line up but surprisingly their batting hasn't clicked in both the games on this tour. Normally, it's been a middle order issue with them in the past but this time their top order hasn't fired at all. Their bowling has been decent though and Hasan Ali even picked up a five-wicket haul in the second game.
The weather is expected to be great on Tuesday. The turf at Edgbaston will have something in it for the batters and fast bowlers as well as assistance for the spinners. England could give chance to the rest of the guys who haven't had a chance in the previous two matches or choose to go with the same XI as they're looking to whitewash Pakistan. Pakistan opted to remain unchanged in the second match and could possibly opt to do the same and hope their batters come to the party and step up to the occasion.
